James Bennett
FOUNDER & EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Meet James, a multi-award-winning dog groomer with over a decade of experience specializing in breeding and showing poodles. As a third-generation poodle breeder and dog groomer, he has earned a global reputation and is highly regarded among the top Poodle enthusiasts worldwide. James's expertise extends to hosting grooming seminars across the globe and in Australia, where he imparts his invaluable knowledge to fellow groomers.

Nicknamed "Mr. Scissor Hands" for his exceptional all-hand scissoring skills, James's grooming artistry sets him apart. He is a guru of Poodle grooming and deshed’s, ensuring every detail is immaculate. His commitment to using only the finest products guarantees outstanding results.
Together with his partner Kirri, James co-owns the renowned La Casa De Pooch Grooming Salon, honoured with "Brisbane's Best Grooming Salon" award for two consecutive years. Additionally, James has been selected for the prestigious Plush Puppy Master Coat Care Specialist 2023 team, solidifying his place at the forefront of the grooming industry.

Mackenzie Jordan
EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Say hello to Mackenzie, a rising star in the grooming industry and a multi-award-winning talent. Currently serving as the Manager at La Casa De Pooch Brisbane, she is also a vital member of our grooming education team.

In just two years, Mackenzie has achieved remarkable success in grooming competitions, including the prestigious Best in Show Novice title at the 2023 Sydney Royal Show, among other notable wins.

Mackenzie's grooming journey began under the mentorship of our Head Teacher and Owner, James, who recognized her exceptional potential early on. What truly sets Mackenzie apart is her unwavering passion for grooming. Her infectious enthusiasm, genuine love for grooming, and nurturing personality make her an exceptional mentor, inspiring others to excel.

Mackenzie's path to La Casa De Pooch was not without challenges. Her previous experiences in subpar salons led to allergies to dander, which could have been a career-ending setback. However, her love for grooming drove her to overcome these obstacles, ultimately bringing her to our team. She is a strong advocate for pet and groomer health care, highlighting her commitment to the well-being of pets and fellow grooming professionals.

Meet Holly, a highly acclaimed groomer with numerous awards to her name. She proudly serves as the Senior Groomer at La Casa De Pooch in Brisbane and is an esteemed education specialist at JBGA.

Holly's grooming journey began under the mentorship of James, whose guidance paved the way for her to establish a thriving dog grooming salon and mobile grooming service. With over seven years of hands-on experience, Holly is truly passionate about her work, transforming every dog that enters her salon into a stunning work of art. Her mastery of scissoring, hand stripping, grooming techniques, and her deep understanding of canine well-being showcase her exceptional skills as an integral member of our team.

For Holly, the pursuit of knowledge is a never-ending endeavor. She made the bold decision to temporarily close her business to follow her true passion for teaching and education. Now, she's an invaluable asset to both the La Casa De Pooch and JBGA teams, sharing her expertise and inspiring the next generation of groomers.
